School Age

Engaging academics that deepen critical thinking
Leadership opportunities within a collaborative community
Independent work habits that build confidence and responsibility

Overview

Our School Age program supports children who are ready for deeper academic challenge, greater independence, and more complex social collaboration. Designed to build confidence and intellectual curiosity, this stage blends hands-on Montessori learning with opportunities for leadership, critical thinking, and real-world application.

Advanced Academic Development

Students expand their understanding of mathematics, literacy, science, and cultural studies through materials and lessons that translate abstract concepts into meaningful, concrete learning.

Project-Based Inquiry

Long-term projects allow students to research topics of interest, work collaboratively, and present their findings—strengthening critical thinking and communication skills.

Leadership & Responsibility

School Age students take on meaningful roles in the classroom community, practicing mentorship, teamwork, and personal accountability.

Refined Communication Skills

Daily reading, writing, and discussion activities support strong comprehension, expressive language, and the ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.

Scientific & Cultural Exploration

Through experiments, mapping, biology studies, and hands-on discovery, students develop a broader understanding of the world and their place within it.

Independence & Executive Skills

Learners manage their work cycles, set goals, and reflect on progress—building the self-management and organization skills essential for future academic success.

Peregrine Milestones

First Steps of Independence

From Infancy through Toddlerhood, children begin mastering essential skills—walking, feeding themselves, and communicating their needs—within a calm, prepared Montessori environment.

Building Academic Foundations

In the Primary years, children (ages 3–6) develop reading, writing, numeracy, and practical life skills. Many graduate from Peregrine performing at or above Grade 3 level.

Confidence for the Future

Preparation to Elementary years, students not only excel academically but also demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and emotional intelligence—skills that prepare them for lifelong success.

“I was so happy to hear about the wonderful progress my son has made in such a short period of time that I was brought to tears. I wish that I was able to enroll him sooner. Thank you!”
