Primary

Hands-on learning that builds early academic skills
Practical life activities that strengthen independence
A calm, structured environment for focused exploration

Overview

Our Primary program serves children up to Ages 2.5 to 6 Years, guiding them through advanced academics, leadership opportunities, and personal growth.

Challenging Academics

Children progress through reading, writing, math, and cultural studies using hands-on Montessori materials that make abstract ideas tangible.

Developing Independence

Every task—from preparing their own snack to caring for their classroom—teaches self-reliance and personal responsibility.

Practical Life & Sensorial Learning

Children refine their motor skills, coordination, and sensory awareness, which lay the foundation for abstract thinking and problem-solving.

Collaborative Community

Mixed-age classrooms foster mentorship and empathy. Older children model leadership and guide younger peers through shared learning experiences.

Prepared Environment

Every item in the classroom has a purpose. Materials are designed to meet each developmental need, empowering children to learn through exploration and discovery.

Whole-Child Growth

Beyond academics, the Primary years are about emotional maturity, respect for others, and building confidence that extends far beyond the classroom.

Peregrine Milestones

First Steps of Independence

From Infancy through Toddlerhood, children begin mastering essential skills—walking, feeding themselves, and communicating their needs—within a calm, prepared Montessori environment.

Building Academic Foundations

In the Primary years, children (ages 3–6) develop reading, writing, numeracy, and practical life skills. Many graduate from Peregrine performing at or above Grade 3 level.

Confidence for the Future

Preparation to Elementary years, students not only excel academically but also demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and emotional intelligence—skills that prepare them for lifelong success.

“Our time with Peregrine has been rewarding on many levels. First and foremost, our child is happy to attend school and has formed positive, genuine relationships with staff. The educators are diligent in their efforts to create a warm and enriching environment where children can thrive. Their exemplary programming emanates from the strong leadership of  Ms. Nadin Elkhalil who is a tenacious advocate for robust early childhood education.”
